Our key pest control services in Scone

To keep a property free from some of the most common pests in Scone, it’s a good idea to have a general pest treatment once a year. Spring is usually the best time as this is when pests become more active, but we carry out treatments rights through until autumn.

As the weather turns cooler, rodents can become a significant problem (even though they are active all year round). Rebel Pest Professionals guarantee to successfully get rid of mice and/or rats from your home using specialist products for the job.

For homeowners, termites are the biggest cause of concern because of the damage they can cause. Having an annual termite inspection is an essential measure to avoid termites accessing your home without being noticed. The easiest way to do this is to have an annual termite inspection at the same time as a general pest treatment, which saves time as well as money. The most effective way to keep termites out of a home is to carry out a preventative termite treatment, known as a termite management system.

As well as general pest treatments, we offer a range of specialist pest control services. If a particular pest is causing you trouble, click on the pest below to find out more.

As well as people’s homes, we also look after commercial properties such as cafes, shops and schools.

Scone Climate

Scone enjoys a sub-tropical climate with summers often very hot due to its inland location. Despite its proximity to the peaks of the Mount Royal Range, winters are cold but not overly so.
The combination of generous rainfall and warm conditions throughout the year make Scone a happy breeding ground for many pests. A small pest problem can quickly turn into an infestation without rapid intervention.

Scone – Key Pests

Plenty of pests are active throughout the year, including ants, cockroaches and spiders. In the summer, European wasps pose a threat as they can not only be irritating but their stings can cause serious harm. Of course, termites should always be the greatest concern due to the damage they can inflict on structural timbers within a home.

The most common termite found in Scone is Coptotermes, a subterranean species that can create large, complex nests. As they are hidden out of view, they can cause significant damage to a home in just a few months.

Tp prevent a termite attack, a termite protection system should be installed and checked regularly, as part of an annual termite inspection.
